PC2Me Help for iPhone and iPod touch

To access your desktop* through PC2Me:

1. Use Safari to go to the specific PC2Me Access Server address (such as http://MyName.PC2Me.net). We recommend that you bookmark the PC2Me addresses, and the browser history will help you.

2. Then, click one of the main page buttons:

Connect - makes the connection to your desktop.

Help - opens this help document, with links to the main www.PC2Me.net website.

Log Out - erases the PC2Me password cookies, so they must be re-entered before connecting again.

3. After you click Connect, you see the upper left corner of your desktop (primary monitor). It is displayed at a 1:1 pixel scale; you can expand this by spreading your fingers.

4. You can move around, expand and minimize using normal iPhone touchscreen controls. For other controls, see Touchscreen Controls, below.

5. To exit the desktop and close the remote control session, click the back arrow on the iPhone.

6. To clear the password cookies, click the LogOut button.

* Note: desktop means your primary monitor. You should be able to access anything that is available on your primary monitor.

After you click Connect, you will see the upper left corner of your desktop (primary monitor). It is displayed at a 1:1 pixel scale; you can magnify this by spreading your fingers on the iPhone screen. You cannot compress the image as the iPhone firmware is not fast at re-rendering large images and the transfer time to your iPhone is significantly longer. You can pan around the screen simply by dragging your finger as you normally would on a website.
