Download and install the PC2Me Server on your Windows desktop (yes, it has to be a Windows desktop, although it can be running in Parallels or Bootcamp or VMware on an Intel Mac).
| 2. |
When you install, you'll be asked to choose which PC2Me Server version to install based on whether you're buying:
the $3.99 USD PC2Me Local Native App
the $9.99 USD PC2Me+ Native App
- or using only the Safari browser (free trial, then $2.99/year).
| 3. |
Register your PC2Me Server and choose a Personal Server Identity, such as MyName. This becomes the identity you use from your PC2Me app, or part of the myname.pc2me.net address you use from Safari.
| 4. |
Start the PC2Me Server on your desktop. It connects and then automatically minimizes to a tiny icon in the lower right corner of your Windows taskbar.
| 5. |
You'll be prompted to create a Username and Password you choose to use as the Secure Login for access to your computer through PC2Me. You can change this as frequently as you wish.
Note: to see PC2Me Server options, right-click the tiny PC2Me Server icon.
